Make money doing the work you believe in

Ben Cohen on February 9th, in “A political hit job,” about Special Counsel Ben Hur’s description of Joe Biden as an “elderly man with a poor memory”:

What also stands out is Hur’s fixation over Biden’s inability to recall specific dates. This isn’t unusual in the slightest — and I speak here from experience. I was once a witness in a criminal court case several years ago, and I managed to confuse almost all of the dates in my testimony. I was shocked at my memory recollection, but came to learn later that this is extremely normal…

Hur could not convict Biden of a crime, but the Trump appointed Republican could cause almost as much harm by feeding right wing conspiracy theories. Unfortunately, it worked, and the media’s attention is now squarely focused on Biden’s ability to recall dates rather than the criminal running against him.

Ben Cohen after the debate:

I want to make my position clear. I still believe Biden should step down and allow the party to select another candidate. This is based on my observation that Biden is in no physical condition to continue and is putting his health in danger. I’m not a doctor obviously, but I have watched close relatives decline like this and instinctively want to protect them…

If I said I thought Biden should continue after the debate or attempted to downplay how severe a crisis it was, I would have been lying.

Ah, and here we have Matt Taibbi calling every Democrat he doesn’t like a “neoliberal”. How very original. Apparently he’s a doctor too and has diagnosed Biden with dementia. I’m sure he’ll be on Tucker Carlson’s show to discuss soon.
