Live performances of any kind (theatre, art, music, poetry) make me insanely happy. Would I get up there and do it myself? Hard pass.
Antique books.
Sour craft beers.
Watching someone open a gift that I picked for them and be genuinely thrilled.
When a student who truly believes they’re going to fail passes first time. That's one of the greatest feelings in the world.
My favourite restaurant is Little Dumpling King (reviewed in the Guardian - pretty much faultless everything), so, if you’re ever in the area, you should definitely go.
The Stairmaster. Yes. I said what I said.
When someone brings me a cup of tea or coffee without me asking them for it first.
Heavy, cloud burst rain when I’m warm and cosy, reading in bed.
When I get people asking me about my research. I could bore them to death with it.
All the time we see the word trigger. Those emotional landmines - the unexpected sound, the critical comment, or the specific smell - that instantly hijacks our nervous system, pulling us backward into stress, anxiety, or an old trauma response.
