Danielle Smith opens door to amending Constitution to alter treaty rights
Danielle Smith has proven repeatedly that she does not understand the Canadian Constitution, and she now takes it one step further by arguing with a straight face that she can convince all other Premiers to change it to invalidate Indigenous rights.
It is as if our experiences with the Meech Lake and Charlottetown Accords went right over her head.
And ignoring those historical examples, here is what she is basically saying to the other Premiers, including BC’s David Eby: help me change the Constitution so I can make it easier to break up the country.
