Clearly, women choose lower pay by picking professions such as ‘female engineer’ rather the higher paying alternative ‘male engineer.’ <end sarcasm/>

Judd, thank you for exposing these Imposters for Women's Rights. I'm sharing this with every woman I know lest one of them belongs to one of these Organizations and is supporting them unwitting of their dark agenda. It sickens me to know that their are women out their with such hate and venom in their hearts and self hatred. Why else would they work for the Koch’s of this World? Great reporting as usual. Thank you!

Handmaids Tale.. It was right on television foreshadowing for all to see!! No one believes what's happening right under their noses.

Surprised not to see language straight out of the Bible such as women should not own property, must submit to every demand by any man but especially a husband because she is created from Adam’s rib, is a permanent unredeemable sinner. Sick sick people

As I've read elsewhere, doesn't that Biblical story that Eve was created from Adam's rib mean that Eve and all her female descendants are trans males?

I can see white Christians heads explode with this statement !!🤣😂🤣😂

My guess is that’s step two- after they gain power and can shed the “guise of neutrality”. Ugh.

Is there nothing the foul, grasping fingers of Justice Thomas have not sullied?

To wit: "IWF was formed in 1992 out of the coalition Women for Judge Thomas, a group that supported Justice Clarence Thomas’ nomination to the Supreme Court!"

More underhanded, crookedness from the party of constant criminals and deviants.

And, even though he was accused of sexual harassment by Anita Hill! Just like with Trump, the Hell-bent Right ignore the perpetrations of their hero.

It's bad enough IWF/V is both anti-trans and anti-woman. Opposing expanded child care is particularly reprehensible, though, as it punishes children and working families. Conservatives are really set upon setting us back decades if not centuries with their regressive policy aims.

Great reporting Judd, as always.

I have a naive question: if a person's brain is telling them that they're female but they have male sex organs, how is that not also "biological sex"? The brain is also just an organ.

I don't find your question to be naive atall. Methinks you may have put your finger upon the central element. The brain's inner landscape.

My question is this: how the hell can anyone purport to dictate the inner landscape of another, as though they know better than the inhabitant of such space? That's akin to a white person telling a black person that racism doesn't exist because they have never experienced or seen it (this actually happened to me)!

This has happened to me also, an older (70s) white woman telling me (POC) that racism doesn't exist anymore today because she has never seen it!! Gaaaahhhh!!!!

Charles KKKoch: Neonazi, fascist billionaire who loves Russia and hates women. He has been most instrumental in turning the RNC into a crime syndicate; anyone supporting his causes is just one more piece of human waste on this planet. . . And Koch Industries contributes tons of polluting waste. Don’t even bother to argue over “gender of women” with right-wing perverts.

Lawmakers are in essence practicing medicine without a license, or, for that matter, without medical training or a medical degree. Babies are born with ambiguous genitalia for example, demonstrating "visibly" that even in nature, sex/gender is not always fixed. These law makers are trying to play psychologist without training. Overwhelmingly, those who identify in any number of different ways, most simply expressed as non-binary, state that they became aware of their identity when young, even very young. Again, what license, what expertise grants lawmakers the right to rule and restrict what nature and science show exists? In a just world, these charlatans and quacks would be imprisoned.

Secular voters and atheists voters need to organize and finance counter-theological terrorism. These theological-fascist believe they are doing “gods” work. Push back against this is really tough because if we do we are “only” doing man’s work of protecting our rights and that doesn’t raise the blood pressure until it becomes personal.

Hearing these right wing nuts talk about trans people one would think that the trans community solely consists of men identifying as women. I wonder if they are aware there are also women identifying as men ...

Policies that “aren’t just well intended, but actually enhance freedom, opportunities, and well-being.” Well intended? Intentions are like opinions and you know what they say....

If you have to trumpet this in what’s supposed to already be an enlightened democracy, then there’s obviously something hidden here. Altho as with anything Koch related, not all that well hidden.

Once again Judd peels the layers of respectability away to expose the raw, ugly truth. 👏🏻👏🏻

Thank you, women--Rebecca and Tesnim! The treatment of women (ALL across the globe) prevails as an issue crucial to the well-being of everyone on the planet. For anyone willing to get into the facts of gender inequality and its impact on all of us, read THE DOUBLE X ECONOMY by Linda Scott. [Ask your library to purchase the book.]

Your ability to extract the sources for these anti-women groups and lobbyists and legislators who operate in the guise of protecting and even "expanding women's options and opportunities" can help to expose the dirty secrets and dark money. We are now learning the details of Clarence Thomas's positions on the ERA and Affirmative Action [cf FRONTLINE on PBS]--he's anti everything that in any way appears to make his "accomplishments" not of his own doing. He actually turned the hatred he felt from parental figures, the fellow Blacks, white seminary students, receiving no work offers after receiving a Yale Law Degree into hatred of all progressive causes. He's a deeply wounded man, unable to transform hatred into anything healing and constructive--this may be a clue as to why too many hold this same way of thinking.

Riane Eisler's books talk about the gdp becoming stronger when communities take care of women (everyone). The Power of fPartnership is one of her books. The Chalice and the Blade... She has a whole program available to learn from, join and share. Another fantastic book of hers is Sacred Pleasure, which shows how men have been educated to be violent in sexual expression and taught to be violent as a means of expression overall throughout history (and other cultural training that's not really "natural" as we've been told).

It has struck me in recent decades that the border states like OK, MO, and KS are often more rabidly repressive in social issues than deep South states. That also includes parts of IN and ILL.

The Kansas legislature had to "fix" this one last cultural problem because all of Kansas's other challenges have already been fixed. They can quit now. 😇 P.S. I grew up there in the 50's and 60's and marvel at the change in the political climate caused by the dis-information industry.

So we have learned that self serving public service is alive and well in the USA (like George Santos didn’t teach us that already). What’s next a front of African Americans lobbying to return to segregation? Maybe victims of sexual violence lobbying for loosening the age of consent?

The solution to all of this is voting, and the real strategy of the right is to make politics so offensive people won’t participate which is exactly what needs to happen if you want evil to triumph.

The IWF has been an enemy of women since before I was old enough to vote. It's incredible how many people see "Independent Women's" and automatically assume it's a group for independent-minded women, instead of what it actually is, which is the same old destructive misogyny in a power suit and pumps.
