SPEAKER 1
Hi, everyone. I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Lisa Senecal. I'm the executive editor here at Lincoln Square. And most importantly, I wanted to tell you, we're not spamming you. We are not where all the emails are coming from. I want to give you a hand making them stop or at least slow down to the degree that
0:22
you want them. We know that some folks have been frustrated by the number of emails from Substack that you've been receiving, so I thought I'd pop on here, explain where those are coming from and how to stop them or at least show you how to choose in your notifications to only receive the emails that you
0:43
want from Substack instead of possibly many more that you've been receiving. Aside from on our launch day this past Tuesday when we did six live interviews in that one day, Lincoln Square is only sending around three emails a day and those are specifically with articles or live video

Stop the email flood!

Here's how to adjust your settings to get only the email notifications you want!

The Power Is In Your Hands!

That’s true when it comes to fighting fascism AND controlling which and how many emails and app notifications that you’re receiving. Below are the links you need to adjust your notifications on your desktop version of Substack and the same settings are available in the app.

To find your notification settings in the app, just go to SETTINGS > NOTIFICATIONS and then you can choose where you want to receive notifications - email, in the app, or both - and toggle on and off which notifications you want. If you want none at all, you can make that happen!

We’re sending around three emails a day - those are links to new articles, shows, or alerts that someone is going LIVE. Other than that, all the emails you’re receiving are controlled by settings on your personal Substack account. Again, links are below.

Thanks so much for being here with us, for your support, and for your patience as we all find our way around this new environment.

Last things - below the Resources is a video from Rick Wilson that you do not want to miss! And keep your eyes peeled for one more email from us today with the first in a series of articles from Stuart Stevens ripping the curtains back on the Republican Party’s “Pink Mafia.”

Discussion about this video

How do I manage my subscription? It says I can’t manage on the app?

Why is a bunch of emails a problem? I have an email account just for this kind of stuff. I have currently ~68,000 unread messages.

46,000 Tesla Cybertrucks recalled today. They keep shedding body parts. They are the ugliest vehicle ever made, uglier than the Pontiac Aztec. Ok, maybe the Yugo was uglier, but, at least with the Yugoslav, you could tie it together.
