[gentle intro jingle]

[footsteps on gravel]

[ominous tone]

[car running]

Hello, Don.

Hi, Maggie.

How's your leg.

Aye, it's good, good.

Good. You've been fishing then?

Aye.

You know, I'd never once been out in that loch, not once.

Looks like it's about to rain.

Would you like lift into town?

Nah, nah, I like to walk, Maggie.

Well.

See you later then.

[car starts]

[thunder cracks]

Oh.

[intense orchestral music]

Oh no Don, again.

[intense orchestral music continues]

[muffled voice]

I've never met the woman.

It's still nice of Brady to send a wee card.

Oh good, you're awake!

Brady?

Aye.

Brady?

Well, the whole town's worried,

though I told them not to be.

Don't worry about Donald Campbell I said,

this is just his thing.

We all have something, a wee imperfection.

I myself have two big toes on my left foot.

Have to get me shoes made specially.

I think you should go home now Maggie.

Of course.

You need your rest.

Ah, struck twice by lightning, it's a miracle.

Can I go yet?

Yeah of course you can, there's barely a scratch on you.

You know, we were just talking about this

in the cafeteria and it's truly fascinating

and incredible actually.

Why is it happening? We have no idea.

Will that happen again? Who knows.

But um,

maybe you should just stay

out of the rain, just to be sure.

[thunder cracking and rain falling]

[ominous music]

[Don sighs]

I need hooks.

[door chimes]

Oh, Donald Campbell.

How are you?

Fine.

Good. That's good.

Tell me, is there anything you need?

Ah.

Hooks.

[suspenseful music]

Don, what it's really coming down out there earlier today.

Thought the Lough Key was going to bust our banks.

Aye.

Oh well,

bye Marty.

Weren't you, weren't you after some hooks?

No. No.

You will be careful out there today, aye?

[ominous music]

Why?

Be...Because you know...

Well, it's a horrible day.

You, you could slip

or

[ominous music continues]

catch a cold or something.

I'll be fine.

Aye. Of course.

Of course you will.

Aye.

Aye.

[thunder cracks]

[door chimes]

Okay if I?

Aye.

Oh, that's cool.

[Don falls]

[ominous trumpets play]

[television glitches]

[knocks at door]

Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho.

[suspenseful music] Well done, Mr. MacFarlane.

Look at the size of that fish.

That's a...

[television glitches].

[knocks at door]

...rainbow trout.

Certainly, I would say a double figure fish. Aye Allyster?

You got the scales...

[television glitches]

You must be ******* kidding me.

Hello, Don.

I made you Shepherd's pie.

And why would you do that, Maggie?

Everyone likes Shepherd's pie. There you go.

Do you not want it?

No. Maggie. I don't.

Why not?

Because if I wanted a Shepherd's pie,

I would make one myself.

Oh no, Don.

You can't. Not with your arm like that?

Oh aye, I can.

No you can't. You just can't.

Yeah? You just watch me.

[door slams]

[Don rummages through drawer]

[Don sighs]

[Don bangs onion on cutting board]

[Don sighs and grunts]

[Don bangs onion on cutting board]

[Don grunts]

[onion falls to the floor]

[Don yells]

[ominous music]

Hoy!

[ominous music intensifies]

Here I am.

Let's just get this over with.

[suspenseful trumpet crescendos]

Let me have it.

[loud creepy noise]

Oh no but, can you imagine? You take care of yourself Don.

[sheep baaing]

[door slams]

Do you feel that line to mind any different

to the way your slight line works?

It, it cast quite nicely. Casts quite nicely.

[indistinct]...clear line.

Yeah.

Now, that's interesting you...I mean,

you're coming quite slowly by just figure of eight-ing.

I'm doing the same.

I'm getting the odd bump.

[indistinct]

Apart from that one.

Oh, but out the water.

That's a big fish.

Oh, that's a big fish, that's a big fish.

[knocks at door]

[birds chirping]

I was going fishing.

[soft music]

Would you like your sandwich now?

Aye, why not?

[suspenseful sound turns into soft cheerful music]

[suspenseful sound turns into soft cheerful music]

This is nice. Isn't it?

Shh, you'll scare the fish.

[lightning strikes]

[ominous music plays]

Don!

Are you okay?

Aye.

You've just been struck by lightning again.

I know.

You sure you're okay?

Aye. I've said aye. I'm okay, stop your fussing.

Toasted my sandwich.

[soft music plays]

Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho.

How is it?

Ho, ha, ho, ha.

[Maggie chuckles]

[soft music continues]

[mischievous music plays]

[music intensifies]
