​I’m currently reading -for a second time-le Paradoxe du choix (Paradox of choice) by Barry Schwartz. It’s a fascinating (and slightly haunting) look at how the abundance of options in our modern world, instead of liberating us, actually ends up paralyzing us.
​While reading, I realize that every choice carries with it the ghosts of all the lives we didn’t choose. It's a book that resonates deeply with me because I tend to overanalyze every decision for fear of missing out on what’s essential. It teaches me that freedom isn’t found in the accumulation of possibilities, but in the ability to fully inhabit the path you finally took.
I'm currently reading Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger. It follows a capricious narrator attempting to navigate his way through life. He's impulsive, stubborn and glorifies himself at any chance he gets. I see a version of myself in him and even though he's so insufferable throughout the book you can't hel…
