It doesn’t matter how many facts you throw at people—their worldview has been shaped by years of input from various sources, reinforced through relentless repetition until it becomes part of their identity. And identity is deeply tied to self-esteem. Challenge their worldview and you challenge their identity, which in turn shakes their self-esteem. Therefore, to change perceptions and worldviews, facts and new information must be repeated just as persistently.
